Call for Minisymposia

Submission deadline is June 15th, 2025

Instructions for the MS Organizers

If you are interested in organising a mini-symposium as part of the WCCM-ECCOMAS 2026, you are welcome to submit a proposal. Prior to the submission of the proposal, the mini-symposium organisers should consider the following:

  • Topic
    • The topic of the mini-symposium should focus on current fields of interest and important research themes within the scope of the Congress.
  • Duration and Structure
    • A typical session of a mini-symposium lasts 2 hours.
  • Keynote Lectures
    • A keynote lecture is allowed for every two full sessions of the mini-symposium.
  • Organization
    • For practical reasons, each mini-symposium should have a Corresponding Organizer (CO) who will submit the mini-symposium proposal and maintain contact with the Conference Secretariat and one or more Co-organizers. Mini-symposium organizers may participate in the mini-symposium. Organizers will be responsible for the abstract and paper submission / review process and must ensure that all papers in their sessions are submitted by the conference deadline, which will be posted on the conference website. Organizers are also expected to distribute conference news to all authors in their sessions.
  • Diversity of Speakers
    • It is discouraged for speakers within the same mini-symposium to come from the same organization.
  • Financial Support
    • No special financial support will be provided to mini-symposium organizers or invited speakers. However, the names of mini-symposium organizers, session chairpersons, and invited speakers will be included in the conference programme. Additionally, one organizer from each mini-symposium will be invited to attend an Appreciation Event.
  • Proposal Review
    • The committees designated by the organizers in cooperation with the Chairs will examine the mini-symposium proposals.

Submission of Mini-Symposium Proposals

You are invited to organize mini-symposia on various topics related to the Congress. For practical purposes, these topics are numbered in the following list. However, proposals from any other area of computational methods in applied sciences and engineering are also welcome. If you do not find a relevant focus area for your proposal, please submit it under "Other" (2300).
