Hotel Recommendations for Your Stay in Munich

To help you plan a convenient and pleasant stay during WCCM–ECCOMAS 2026 at the ICM Munich, we recommend the following accommodation options:

  • 1. Hotels within walking distance of the ICM
      • Several large hotels are located just a few minutes’ walk from the congress venue. Staying in close proximity to the ICM offers maximum convenience and eliminates the need for daily commuting. Please note that, unfortunately and beyond the organizers’ control, room rates in this immediate area vary considerably over time. Based on our experience, prices can range from around 100 EUR to well above 200 EUR per night. We therefore strongly recommend booking early to secure more favorable rates.
  • 2. Hotels in Munich’s city center
      • Thanks to Munich’s excellent public transport system, staying in the city center is a comfortable and attractive alternative. Free public transport for the entire duration of the congress is included with your registration, as part of our sustainability initiative. The city center offers a wide selection of very reasonably priced hotels, with single and/or twin rooms typically available in the range of 100–150 EUR per night.

If you choose to stay downtown, we recommend selecting a hotel with convenient access to the main subway (U-Bahn) lines serving the ICM:

The ICM is directly connected via the U2 line (stop Messestadt West). Travel time from Munich Central Station (Hauptbahnhof) is approximately 20 minutes, with no transfers required. Hotels located along the U2 line are therefore particularly convenient. Alternatively, hotels near the U5 line are also a good option, as the U5 line connects directly to the U2 at Innsbrucker Ring, allowing for an easy and reliable transfer to the ICM.

Both options ensure quick and hassle-free access to the congress venue—whether you prefer the convenience of staying nearby or the variety and atmosphere of Munich’s vibrant city center.
