A Schwarz Domain Decomposition Framework for the Material Point Method

This work introduces a way to break an MPM simulation into overlapping regions that can be solved independently using different resolutions, time steps, and solver types. The regions are then iteratively synchronized using Schwarz domain decomposition, allowing efficient simulation of problems with strong localization and multiple time scales.
