We will revisit the coercivity and accuracy analysis of standard stabilized formulations. Resulting in slightly relaxed stability requirements, and a stabilization parameter directly obtained from minimizing the a-priori error estimate. Moreover, the stabilization parameter directly depends on the interpolation estimate. This requires the tight estimation of the required coefficients and length scales. These are determined in a similar fashion as Harari and Hughes. The standard estimation process relies on breaking the global inequalities in to element level inequalities. The inter element continuity is not taken into account, while this is the key feature that unlocks most -- if not all --the performance in Isogeometric geometric analysis.
