The Reconstruction Off-site Data (ROD) method is a numerical technique that aims at preserving the accuracy order when dealing with non-polygonal domains. Originally developed in the finite volume context, extensions to finite difference on Cartesian grids and Discontinuous Galerkin method have been recently proposed. Such a method enables to preserve the accuracy optimality at any order, and many benchmarks have been passed with 4th or 6th order of approximation for elliptic or hyperbolic problems. After a brief introduction of the ROD technique, I will present the recent advances and extensions of the ROD methods both for academic problems and real applications.
