The aim of the present work is to use the diffusion-inertia model to simulate the evaporation of turbulent liquid aerosol jet flows considering unsteady RANS and hybrid RANS/LES model. The evaporation of liquid droplets leading to a reduction in droplet size is considered through a sectional method. The sensitivity of the results regarding the number of sections and the turbulence model will be assessed. The different results obtained will be validated considering numerical and experimental data from the literature.
